Frequently Asked

Permits are required for the core forest areas (Tiger Reserve zones). You need a Forest Department entry permit, which we arrange on your behalf. For Gosaba and buffer zone areas, no permit is needed.

Yes, with licensed guides and approved vessels. The forest is wild — tigers, crocodiles, and tidal currents are real. We never compromise on safety. All our vessels carry life jackets and emergency equipment.

October to February is ideal — cool weather, peak wildlife activity, and the migratory bird season. Tiger sightings are most likely from November to February when water sources are lower.

There are no guarantees in the wild — but Sundarban has one of the highest tiger densities in the world. Our guides know the best locations and timings. Many of our guests do spot tigers, especially at Sudhanyakhali.

Light, neutral-coloured clothing (avoid bright colours in forest), insect repellent, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, binoculars, camera, powerbank, cash (no ATMs inside), and a valid photo ID.

Yes — we offer forest department lodges, eco-resorts, and our signature houseboat stays. The houseboat option is highly recommended for an overnight Sundarban experience.

Gosaba, the main entry point, is approximately 100 km from Kolkata — about 3 hours by train+boat or car+boat. We can arrange pickup from your Kolkata hotel.

Fees vary by zone and nationality. Approximately ₹40–80 for Indians and ₹500–1500 for foreigners per day. We include all fees in our tour packages — no hidden costs.
